By itself, Quark is not a unique or different product; it acts as a simple OAS3 / Swagger library system, providing notifications on updates and creations, and allowing teams to collaborate and design new APIs.
It is, however, the core of three applications.
- Retief acts as an enterprise API design tool with shared data definitions and standards to keep teams on track
- Sandking which allows security teams to audit and test apis safely within the sandbox using open source tools.
It is also built to integrate directly with agentic LLM coding harnesses, providing an internal MCP interface that allows developers to use internal resources consistently, and preventing them (and their agents) from reinventing the wheel.
